About Me
I’m Cesar. I grew up in the southern tip of Texas — Spanish at home, English at school, two worlds before lunch. I've spent the last eight years teaching in — Texas, Spain on Fulbright, Italy, and the DC area. I have an MBA and active ESL/ ESOL licenses in two states. I can list the credentials if you want them, but what I can’t fake is how tired I got — of the inequities, of the quiet disrespect, of pretending the creative part of me was a hobby for “after contract hours.” Problem-solving with no ceiling? That was supposed to wait. Purpose was supposed to wait. I stopped waiting.
Cesar Manzano, MBA
CEO
It was a Sunday night in Maryland — laptop open, week already loaded — and my chest did that thing again. Another five days inside a machine that would smile “equity” on a slide and still ask people like me to shrink by Friday. When the system handed me stay in your lane, be grateful, fit the box, something in me refused. I was made for more. I’d spent too many years in a career that drained me more than I could give.
Camino Academy is what I walked into — bilingual work with adults, Spanglish when it lands, humor when the room can take it, seriousness when the stakes are real. Creative side gets a seat. Problem-solver gets a seat. I do too.
